Here’s a little secret that most don’t know. Most times, if you are needed for the business to work, regardless of how much it makes, you won’t be able to sell it for much. So all that hard work could be for nothing.

The reason is, people want to buy a system dependent business not a owner dependent business. Because owner dependent businesses are pretty much like being self employed. So if you’re focused and you’re building of a business in hopes to exit one day.

Then you should really try to build up and master the Systems and processes in your business. Take the time to make it as simple as possible. That way who’s running it doesn’t matter.

Why you should create a system dependent business

I know a lot of us start off as solo entrepreneurs and really build something from nothing. So because of that, we get very attached to our business. In a way, it becomes our baby.

But until we remove ourselves from the equation it’s not really a business. We’re just self-employed. I learned that from Robert Kawasaki, in the book Rich dad poor dad and from working 12 hour days.

So with that being said. Remember, if you want to build a big business, you can’t do it alone and simple is always better. If you believe, keep learning and working towards your dreams and goals every day.
